Agencies can now control what each officer sees and does down to the individual action, rather than enabling a capability for everyone or no one.

Role permissions combine with the agency’s own feature settings across menus and detail screens, so an action only appears when the officer holds the role and the agency has the feature switched on. Creating a note, starting an interview and issuing a citation can each be granted separately, and the same rules apply on mobile as on the desktop app — including when a note is reached by link rather than through a menu.

Bulk user import gains an Add new users to role option, so a batch of officers arrives with the right permissions already applied instead of being granted them one at a time afterwards.

The app’s main menu has been reworked so the things officers reach for most are easier to hit, with a clearer layout on smaller in-car screens.

Where an agency uses a connected evidence system, Smart Draft now reads the transcript of body-worn video alongside records data and the officer’s own notes when preparing a draft.

Transcripts are treated as a record of what was said, and nothing more. Where a transcript and the record conflict, records data and officer notes remain authoritative, and transcripts are never used as a source for identification or for data-precise facts such as dates, addresses or plate numbers. Transcribed passages are labelled as machine-generated wherever they appear in a draft.

Drafted reports now include dedicated sections for the people involved in an occurrence and for the dispatch event history behind it, so the subjects and the call timeline arrive in the draft rather than being assembled by hand afterwards.

A Smart Draft Templates screen lets administrators review and version the report templates their agency uses. Changing how drafts are written no longer requires a deployment, and previous versions remain available.

Officers can set whether Smart Draft produces a concise narrative or a fuller one, to match how their agency writes.

Maps across the app now run on Mapbox GL. Panning and zooming are smoother, labelling stays legible at every zoom level, and performance is noticeably better on older in-car devices.
